Amazon file guide

Download the right settlement file.

SellerClose needs Amazon's Settlement Flat File V2. It is a payout-level ledger—not an orders report, transaction report, or legacy flat file.

The short path

In Seller Central, open Payments, choose All Statements, find the completed settlement, then choose Download Flat File V2.

Before you leave Amazon

  1. Choose one completed settlement. An open settlement can still change.
  2. Download Flat File V2. Do not rename or edit it in a spreadsheet first.
  3. Keep the original TXT file as your source record.
  4. Return to SellerClose and select that file. It is read locally in your browser.

How to recognize it

The header normally begins with settlement-id and includes total-amount, currency, transaction-type, amount-description, and amount. Extra Amazon columns are okay.

“Legacy Flat File” error

Go back to the settlement and select the V2 download specifically. SellerClose deliberately refuses the older layout.

Encoding error

Try the untouched Amazon TXT first. If another program converted it to UTF-16, export a UTF-8 copy without changing its columns.

Still not working

Use SellerClose's safe diagnostic. It describes the file shape and error without including orders, SKUs, or amounts.

Ready to reconcile it?

No account or upload is required during the beta.

Open the analyzer

Seller Central labels and navigation can change. If Amazon presents several downloads, choose Settlement Flat File V2.
